My Genre
I can enjoy any genre of music as long as it has a good melody ranging from Rock to Classical.
But for sure, each individual do have his or her own specific music genre the he or she really enjoy. As for myself, I choose ROCK.
I started listening to rock music since I was 13 years old. At that time (late 80’s), I was exposed to local rock music and I enjoyed listening to it. In 1990, I explored the international rock music and by that time, I knew that rock is my favorite genre. Maybe the influences that I got was due to the fact that rock music was the top genre music of at that specific time during my teenage days. I guess if my teenage days is today (current year), my favorite would be Hip Hop. 
Among my favorite bands / musicians / singers are :-
- Aerosmith (The toxic twins really rock!!!)
- Megadeth (I enjoyed their metal until their Youthanasia album, after that their music seems to getting softer. As for myself, their best album = Rust in Peace. Nevertheless, Dave Mustaine is among my favorite musician)
- LA Guns (Their album until Vicious Circle were all great)
- Faster Pussycat (I hope they will get together again and produce latest album.)
- Guns & Roses (Good energy in most of their albums)
- Overkill (Their Year of Decays & W.F.O album are among my top favorite’s album)
- Alice Cooper (He composed many great songs with killer chorus. My favorite albums from him are Trash and Hey Stoopid)
- Red Hot Chilli Peppers (Their composed creatives music and great songs, I really admire Californication)
- Metallica (Personally, their music is catchy but as I am more bias to Megadeth, I did not really follow their music. Dave Mustaine did a right move. Nevertheless, Black album was great)
While praising the international artists, I also will not forget to list out some local bands / musicians that I admire as they were the one that introduced me to the world of rock.

Alternative Music
As established rock band were at their prime and many new-comers emerges somewhere in 1991/92, suddenly here comes the late Mr Kurt Cobain. Rock bands were blooming like mushroom after rain and this guy came in with a grass cutting machine hanging on his back and killed all those mushrooms away.
My younger brothers & sisters at that time began to love alternative and rock bands began to subsided. And alternative band starts to emerged.
Anyhow, I am not anti – alternative as yes, there are few bands that produced good songs and melodies. And as for the late Kurt Cobain, I labeled him as a legend as many people did too.
