Early in the morning, I woke up and had no choice rather than to suffered from my morning bath as the Resthouse did not provide hot shower facility.
Myself and Faizal checked out early in the morning. Had our breakfast at nearby stall. This was the first time that I had ‘Nasi Minyak’ that is usually served during wedding as my breakfast. Its a heavy breakfast indeed. After breakfast we went to the project that need to be surveyed. Our surveyed went smoothly and we finished our surveyed somewhere around 2pm. After that we went back to our Resthouse to get the receipt as the Resthouse failed to hands me the receipt during check out due to the fact that the receipt need to be printed out from their Main Office which the working hours follows the government working shift. Once reaches the Resthouse, we then need to wait for about 30 minutes to get our receipt.
Our next project to be surveyed is located in Dungun. Based on the route that we drove through on the 11th, the journey was so uncomfortable, so we decided to take a longer route by driving north to Kuala Terengganu and use the beach road down south back to Dungun. Surely this will take a much longer time but at this point we knew that this will be the best route to Dungun from Kuala Berang in terms of road condition and safety.
We reached Kuala Terengganu at 330pm and we went to visit the newly build Crystal Mosque which is situated inside the Taman Tamadun Islam compound. This is a new tourist attraction spot here in Kuala Terengganu and had just officially launched by Malaysia Prime Minister a few days back. We enjoy the beauty of the Crystal Mosque but failed to enter the Miniature Architecture of Islam section as this section is still under construction. As I looked in between the walls and gate, some of the miniature structure are already in place so I tried my luck by asking the Security Guard to let us enter the place just to snap a few photographs but we had been denied. So disappointing as we had already reached that place.
We then moved to Marang and decided to look for a hotel for that night. We were looking for a good hotel this time compared to one that we had stayed in Kuala Berang. Along the way of the coastal road in Marang, we can’t allocate any good hotel. So we then drive further south towards Rantau Abang. Again we failed to locate a good hotel in Rantau Abang. Lastly we have no other choices other than to drive to Dungun and look for a good hotel somewhere in Dungun. Just before we reached Dungun, we passed through a good resort by the name of Tanjung Jara Beach Resort. I had heard about this resort before and thinking of spending our night there. Once I drove through the gate of the resort, we had been blocked by the Security Guard and rudely asked where we wanted to go. I told the security that I wanted to go to the reception and asked about the room vacancy. He handed me a brochure stating the room rate per night. Now, I realized why the guard stopped us at the gate as the room rate are sky high. The cheapest room will cost you around RM920.00 per night. I said thank you to the guard and drove to Dungun. But he shouldn’t be rude to us anyway.
We reached Dungun somewhere at 6pm and checked in at UiTM Hotel which is located at Pantai Teluk Lipat. At RM120.00 per night with 2 breakfast, we were very satisfied with this hotel and our room of course. The friendliness of the reception staff delighted our mood although we were tired.
As for our dinner, we went to a local shop named Dungun Kopitiam to enjoy our dinner. I tasted a very delicious ‘Kuew Teow Sup Celup’ here while Faizal had a plate of ‘Nasi Goreng Pattaya’. Kuew Teow Sup Celup is a noodle that served with delicious spicy beef soup. Recommended to those who like to enjoy hot and spicy soup. A must have to those who are visiting Dungun.
We had a good rest that night. Enjoyed the hot water inside the room, spacious single bed and clean room.
