Training After 3 Months

Almost 4 months training, what I had learn, experienced and gained?

  • Lower Punch
  • Mid Punch
  • Upper Punch
  • Lower Block
  • Mid Block
  • Upper Block
  • Stance
  • Side Punch
  • Front Kick
  • Side Kick
  • “Osu Sukui”? <— what will this be in English
  • “???” <— a move that you attack the neck part by using the tip of your fingers
  • “???” <— a move to unlocked when being held from behind by enemy
  • Combos of blocking and punching
  • Fukyugata Ich. First Kata. Quite hard at first but now I think its kinda easy, just to improve on my concentration, power and perfecting the movements.
  • Basic sparring. Being given a chance by my Sensei to learn kumite in a light way. Although its a light one as my kumite partner were my Sensei himself and a black belt karateka, I already got bruises on my shin. I still need to improve myself on this, maybe I am countering a black belt, so I feel a bit like not confident enough. I notice that I am quite fast to get tired and this is the drawback of my kumite session. I need to build more confident and stamina for this.
  • New friends. I met few new friends here and lots of them are “tigers”
  • Get to know Melaka Seibukan Association’s President. Sensei Carl who always give me encouragement and charging my interest.
  • I am getting slimmer (am i?) I can’t judge myself as I don’t practice scheduled weighing of myself. But lots of friends that I had met said so. Then I guess, I am?
  • My confidence boost up especially in setting up my mind to offense.
  • My mentality turned around from not to be graded to “I want to be upgraded as soon as possible!!!”
  • My interest grows from day to day and begins to plan my karate path
  • I am going to promote Seibukan to friends and family (of course after I had reach certain level seh!!!). And I did bring one of my brother to join as a member.

I am also enrolled for an unlimited classes package so that I may practice as much as I can at the academy whenever I am free.
